The Lower Moreland Township School District Music Department is comprised of eight full time music teachers that direct over thirty different ensembles throughout the district. In conjunction with a multitude of daily general music courses and electives, choral, orchestra, and band courses, the department proudly presents over twenty concerts and performances a year for the Lower Moreland community.  

Lower Moreland Township School District Music Department is a proud multi-year recipient of the NAMM Foundation Best Communities for Music Education Award. Through constant support from school administrators, faculty, parents, and the entire Lower Moreland community, the music department at Lower Moreland continues to meld academic rigor with artistic integrity and is proud to continue serving the growing population of young musicians within the program. The program has been recognized by the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association with multiple performances at their All State Conference in addition to countless national festival appearances.

Lower Moreland Township School District, located in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, serves approximately 2,400 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Composed of four schools, Pine Road Elementary School (K-3), Murray Avenue School (4-6), Lower Moreland Middle School (7/8) and Lower Moreland High School (9-12), Lower Moreland Township School District strives to foster educational excellence in a nurturing environment that promotes respect for self and others, utilizing community resources, staff, and an innovative curriculum.
