General Music

As part of the Encore specialist class rotation, our kindergarten through fifth grade general music classes serve every student in Pine Road Elementary School. Throughout their time General Music, students will participate in singing, playing instruments, moving to music, and creating music which enables students to acquire musical skills and knowledge. These courses facilitate learning to read and notate music which allows students to create and explore music independently and with others. The general music program seeks to build a strong foundation for musical learning through listening, analyzing, and evaluating music.
